GA Kneeboard Update: v6.11.10 - Smooth Patterns and Refined Settings

We’ve been busy over the last 48 hours rolling out some exciting updates to make your flight planning even smoother. Here’s what’s new since version 6.11.9.

✈️ New Flight Pattern Print Animation

Preparing your kneeboards for print just got a bit more visual. While the system works in the background to generate your high-quality PDF, you’ll now see a smooth animation of an aircraft flying a standard traffic pattern. No more staring at a static loading bar—watch your “virtual flight” while we handle the heavy lifting!

☀️ Enhanced VFR Tile Settings

We’ve refactored how you manage VFR settings to make them more intuitive:

  • Dedicated Sunlight Settings: All sunlight-related config (From, To, Date, and Flight Type) has been moved to its own clean settings component.
  • Auto-Uppercase: Airport identifiers are now automatically converted to uppercase as you type, ensuring consistency across your logs.
  • Simplified Flight Type Selection: Easily toggle between Day, Night, and Overnight flights with a new consolidated selector.

🛠️ Interface Refinements & Simplification

  • Streamlined IFR Settings: We’ve removed the redundant display mode selection in IFR tiles. The interface is now cleaner, focusing only on what you need.
  • Better Placeholders: Placeholder tiles now support an optional second subtitle, allowing for more descriptive “Coming Soon” or status messages.
  • UI Stability: General refinements across the interface for a snappier experience.
