Introducing GA Checklist: Our Newest Experiment in Cockpit Efficiency
Introducing GA Checklist: Our Newest Experiment in Cockpit Efficiency
If you’ve used GA Kneeboard, you know we have a bit of an obsession with checklists. We believe they aren’t just safety requirements—they are the foundation of a low-stress flight.
That’s why we’ve been quietly building something new. For the past few weeks, we’ve been flight-testing a dedicated tool designed to streamline your workflow from the hangar to the flight levels.
Today, we’re excited to open up the beta for GA Checklist.
Why a dedicated checklist app?
While the iPad is the king of the cockpit, it isn’t always the most convenient tool when you’re walking around the plane or sumping fuel. GA Checklist was built on three core principles:
-
Seamless Transitions: Run your pre-flight and walk-around on your phone, then have your progress waiting for you on your iPad once you’re strapped in.
-
Real-Time Sync: Your checklists stay synchronized across all your devices, ensuring you never lose your place.
-
Emergency Readiness: Critical procedures and emergency checklists are designed to be accessible in seconds, on whichever device is closest to you.
The “Beta” Reality
Currently, GA Checklist is a web-based experiment. It is fully responsive and works beautifully in a mobile browser, but it’s built on a framework that will allow us to launch it as a native app on the App Store and Google Play soon.
The best part? It’s completely free. We don’t have a grand monetization plan or a marketing roadmap yet. Right now, we just want to know: Is this helpful for your flying? We are looking for honest feedback from the GA Kneeboard community to help us decide where to take this next. Give it a spin on your next flight and let us know what you think (… via the “Send Feedback” feature).
