Since the release of version 6.3.0, we’ve been hard at work refining the core experience of Kneeboard.ga. This update brings a major redesign to how you select and create pages, along with significant under-the-hood performance improvements.

Here is a look at what has changed:

1. Redesigned Selection Page: “Template List” vs. “Craft Our Own”

We have completely overhauled the Selection Page to give you more control over your workflow. You can now toggle between two distinct modes:

• Template List: Browse our ready-made, high-quality templates. We’ve expanded the showcase to display the Top 6 Templates (up from just two), making it easier than ever to find the perfect starting point for your flight.

• Craft Our Own: A dedicated mode for building your custom pages from scratch, giving you a streamlined workspace to design exactly what you need.

2. Faster Load Times with Template Caching

Speed matters when you are planning a flight. We’ve implemented a new Template Caching System that saves templates locally to your device.

• Instant Loading: Frequently used templates now load almost instantly, reducing wait times.

• Cache Management: You can now see how many templates are stored and clear your cache directly from the Account Details page if you need to free up space.

3. Enhanced Radio Tile Settings

The Radio Tile has received a significant upgrade under the hood. We have refactored the settings to be more intuitive and consistent with the rest of the app. You will find a cleaner interface for configuring frequencies, making it faster to set up your comms exactly how you want them for your flight.

4. Share Your Passion with Ambassador QR Codes

We’ve made it even easier for our CFI Ambassadors to share Kneeboard.ga with students and colleagues. You now have a unique Ambassador QR Code available in your account. simply let others scan it to share your referral link instantly—no typing required.

5. UI Implementation & Polish

We’ve made several subtle but impactful changes to the user interface to improve clarity and usability:

• Settings Access: Replaced generic “Display” buttons with clear Settings icons on the Airport Diagram and Strips pages, making it more intuitive to customize your views.

• Visual Cleanup: We’ve decluttered the interface by removing the icon for “Blank” pages and refining the look of separators with a new, subtle styling option.

• Improved Management: Added new controls to easily delete items directly from the Selection Page.
